OAHT Q1 Update 14 May 2018
The first quarter management accounts for 2018 have shown that Oasis in Cape Verde is already outperforming 2017, recording increased revenue per available room (REVPAR) and increased occupancy. This is predominantly due to improved performance, however this year, Easter fell in Q1, whereas last year it fell within Q2 and this will have raised the overall Q1 performance. The Brazil performance is still relatively problematic for Oasis and decreases the overall group's performance.
However, with room prices in Cape Verde continuing to rise, not least because of the shortage of available rooms, coupled with an increase in Portuguese traffic over the summer, and an expected winter price rise by as much as 10%, a promising summer is expected.
